Depth Hypnosis into the teaching and practice of yoga.
Thursday, July 19th, 7-9pm EST
"Depth Hypnosis: Perspectives on Trauma for Yoga Teachers & Practitioners"
Depth Hypnosis is a counseling process that combines Buddhism, shamanism, energy medicine, transpersonal psychology and hypnosis to address a wide range of symptoms that are related to trauma and other root causes. Central to Depth Hypnosis is the understanding of the nature of karma, the way that karmic patterns are developed energetically, and the way these patterns drive imbalance.
As you are working with yoga, you are also working with energy. Karmic patterns are energetic patterns. It is not uncommon for people’s karmic patterns to affect their engagement with the postures of yoga – and it is not uncommon for certain postures to evoke emotional and/or mental experience, including traumatic memories that may be related to karmic issues. This talk will offer yoga teachers a broader context in which to understand karma and offer tools drawn from Depth Hypnosis to help them in assisting students in working with traumatic experience that might arise in the yoga environment.

*Yoga Reconsidered 13-Part Lecture Series
The Yoga Teacher Advanced Studies Seminar is a response to the evolving need for quality continuing education programming in the yoga teaching community.
The level of proficiency in philosophy, anatomy, ethics and therapeutics is minimal in those teachers who recently completed their 200 hour training, and even in those teachers who have been teaching for a number of years.
This seminar was designed both for teachers looking to keep the learning process alive and for those yoga practitioners who are just plain interested in the fascinating world of yoga philosophy, practice, research and scholarship.
Each month features a new talk with a different scholar or teacher. An interactive, live workshop is facilitated online and readings are offered to deepen the learning experience. All times listed are in EST (East Coast United States).
By registering for the monthly or yearly seminar tuition, you will receive:
